Hi all,

I want to jump on the android bandwagon :smokingsomb: and thinking of buying the Google Nexus 3 as it is the only one that fits my budget/requirements/screen size and the fact that it is an "open source" kinda phone.

I understand it is an old model and 5 is out but I wanna know the pros n cons of buying the 3.

My requirements:
Excellent GPS.
No lag (I won't multitask)
Okay camera.

Any thoughts/inputs are most welcome.

Tia

Yep, that's it. I had that device up until about a year ago when I upgraded to a Nexus 4 and now to a Nexus 5. It was a great device for it's time, but things have advanced a lot since then. The camera wasn't very good, taking any sort of zoomed shot came out horrible. The GPS was decent when I used it, though a bit of a battery hog. It didn't lag that bad while I had it, but newer devices are noticeably quicker. You could find yourself disappointed with the battery life, with it being smaller capacity than what most modern phones come with.

I don't use zoom at all, modern phones are expensive too  Just need it primarily for GPS. If this is out then I will have to consider Nokia 520 or 525. :(

Yes, have a deal in India with no warrantee whatsoever. This is making me change my mind though.
Do you have a particular deal on the Galaxy Nexus? Because otherwise I'd look at the Nexus 4 instead: better than the GNex, and may not be more expensive (I looked at a couple of online stores and it was cheaper. Not checked second-hand prices though).

That's some great info. I wanted best possible GPS. The one on 525 (i bought yesterday) has same GPS which comes with super high-end models. Thanks for the post.
My 520 has an excellent GPS! I downloaded the few states I go and occasionally bring the phone with me (no sim, never been activated) and it latches on great even with wifi off. Better than my Note 2 actually...
