Root Transparent system settings help

I've been trying to use a tutorial over here to make system apps transparent, but it seems each time I replace the framework-res.apk I end up with a bootloop.

Anyone think they could help me to get this to work?

I've been working on this and I think I'm close, I can't make it transparent yet for some reason, but I've had plenty of luck putting my own images in so just to start you off do you wanna send me your background and I'll make you a custom framework-res.apk?
