Screen size gripe rebuttal

hey everyone,

It seems like a lot of people who have used the iproducts before are complaining about how narrow the screen is. I can be considered part of this group as well, at least initially. Then I realized that it isn't really that bad. For one thing the iphone screen with the default browser is always going to have the taskbar across the bottom of the screen whereas the incredible does not. This frees up a lot of extra space that you don't get to use on those other products. Even the opera browser in fullscreen mode has this issue on the iphone. Also the widescreen is better for videos. I also enjoy that the phone if lightweight and compact which would not be possible with a larger screen. Finally, I'm already getting used to it and its actually kinda nice. I guess there are some sacrifices but overall it's very nice.

I see no issues with the screen size at all. This phone runs so smooth for me I can't find anything to complain about yet.

Glad that you were able to spend a little while getting used to something new, This is a good skill to have in life, not just a trait of this phone..

I came from my iTouch to this and I love it. I wanted to step on my itouch whenever I was comparing it to my Incredible today.

My only complaints about this phone is the very light pinkish color that the screen displays when it should be displaying white and how bad the quality of the pictures are from the camera when viewed on a computer.

No problem, glad I could make your life better! I'm just putting it out there because people are complaining that the screen is too narrow but those people are not considering the fact that it has more useable space. All in all, it is not necessarily smaller or worse in any way the the iphone. If you never even considered this issue, then this post wasn't for you anyways.

mine has the light pinkish color too, see if turning the brightness up helps that, it did on mine.

It does help, I figured that out when I first got the phone. I compromise by setting it at about 60% or whatever the power widget sets it to. It isn't very annoying, it is just the fact that I know it is there that bothers me.

If you have been using 400x240 screen for over a year (Omnia 1), anything is larger. Hell, I was in tears when I first fired up the internet browser and stared at this screen, which effectively quadruples the resolution. That, and I don't have to strain my eyes reading comics (manga, mostly).
