nope. sorry. unless you were using mylookout and auto backed up your photos or kept a copy of your SD card on your computer she will have to start from scratch

Yes, it is possible. Just put the SD card in your computer and use a file recovery program to try and see what, if anything, can be recovered. Here's a free one for you called Recuva to try out. Good luck.

Data Rescue 2 has been my hero for recovering formatted or corrupted filesystems on both memory cards and hard drives in any file system format for a couple years now.

If any data has been written to the card since its' format, the previous "marked erased" data is being corrupted more and more as new data is written to the card.

all above are correct, ASSUMING you did not put any new files once the files were deleted/formatted. If you put more pictures or stuff on the card, more than likely some of the data is gone forever. But my personal favorite is Recuva. Great, fast and free. Has 2 modes, fast scan or deep scan. Fast scan usually recovers what is easily recoverable, the deep mode will usualy pull those files that are dead.... or half dead (like half of pictures and parts of files). Good luck.
