Bad camera quality?

Been using the Hero and love it, its great.
Unfortunately the camera is a big let down for me, most of the pictures come out blurry. Is this an issue for others? Any solutions?

EDIT - just saw on another topic that iso 800 reduces blur. Will have to try this out.

Doesnt seem possible but make sure the glass over the lens is clean. I was shooting some pictures and they were terribly blurry and had like a glow to them. I was so disappointed because I love this phone but not if the picture quality is so bad. I grabbed a lint free cloth and cleaned the glass (even though it looked clean) and wow pictures are superb. I am so relieved. I also went into settings and upped the sharpness to +1.

This, I totally agree with.

Its so bad, it should come with a warning about using it on the elderly. As hey could fall asleep or die before the image is captured.

Haha, Theres a trick to taking photos with it, cleaning the lens (take the back cover off) wait for the autofocus to give the green light, hold the phone with two hands and tap and hold the screen til the photo is taken, if its still blurry, increase the ISO in the settings.
Kinda works for me, I'll do til they (hopefully) bring out another update. Apparently the recent ROM update did improve the cameras speed.

I have been reading alot of forms about camera on a hero being blurry just receved mine about a week ago pictures were blurry taking them
then some one said to take the back cover off and clean lens so when i took the back cover off i looked inside the back cover there was a small thin peace of yellow tape over the lens cover i removed it and now my picture are crystal clear just like you would take from a kodak camera

just a thought
