Hello guys, I am an android phone user(using HTC Hero)

Here's the situation, My Boss is also an android phone user

He took my phone everyday and install lots of USELESS APPS to my phone.

this make me confused...I cannot refuse him from taking my HERO, but..

I hate those APPs...

Although I have a lock to the phone, he want to unlock it for him!

What the ......

Is there any apps that can lock the phone and pretend it is down and unable to open the main menu...

Or anyone have a Suggestion, or Apps can help me....

I really need a phone which is belonging to me, not belonging to the XXXX boss

thx for everyone concerning my case....
Thank you

is this your personal phone that is set up under your name and you pay the bill? just trying to understand your situation, or the company gave you your phone? sounds a little unprofessional for a work place.

I'm no legal expert, but I'm pretty sure if you get fired for not giving your boss your personal phone (note personal, as in does not belong to the company), I'm pretty sure that's illegal. But I think that varies by state though.

Either way, do you really want to be working someplace where your employer is a total ass and messes with your stuff? Possibly, unless he is in charge of the entire company, you could report him to someone within the company?

+1 for this. Especially if it is your own personal phone and your name is on the account. If it is a company phone I think you are still entitled some small (probably very small) level of privacy. Coming from the sue happy USA, where every scumbag wants to hop on the free money train for some reason or another I am the last person to advocate frivalous lawsuits, but if it is a personal account, and you refuse to let him see it and get fired because of that, LAWSUIT CITY! That is a gross violation of your rights.

Just tell a little white lie and nicely explain to him that the last time he played with your phone and installed an app to it, it went nuts and everything started force closing and you had to take it to your phones service provider and they had to factory wipe it and reload everything on it.

how many people work at your company?

And what is your role and your bosses role?

Did you pay for the phone or did the company?

All of these may have something to do with it.

When I got a phone at one of my startups the IT guy played with it for a day and also let someone else test it out before "it came in".

But he was kind enough to do a factory reset on it before he gave it to me.

Why does the OP sound like he's all of twelve? The way he types is weirding me out.

I'm with you on this, he sounds a little bit weird. It's like one of those people who post just for attention. I could be wrong though.

To the OP if it is a genuine story, tell your boss "No" because there is no way he can fire you for not handing over your personal property to use. You could ask to trade for his Desire and say either he trades or you are keeping your phone to yourself.
