Just bought an m8 and the day after a rumor of an m8 eye emerges!

I think it's more than a rumor at this point with HTC teasing "something remarkable" coming on October 9. It could just be just an add-on "go pro" type camera but I think I'd hedge my bet and return it for now. If it doesn't come out you could just buy the M8 again.

I just bought mine yesterday too. I am not fond of the gold color but i like everything else about the phone.

I seen snippets here and there. It seems it's more or less the same phone [maybe a different processor?] , with either a 13mp or 18mp camera [depending on where you read the info]

I only just got my M8 too, but wth, it's a great phone. The new one will be more expensive, and I don't take many pictures using the phone. Got a proper camera for that.

I don't feel I need more speed for what I do generally with the phone either.

I don't get what they're at tbh. They're bringing out an E8 - which is basically a plastic shelled M8, with a different camera- a worse one at that! it's the 13mp camera from the HTC mini, the camera on the M8 is better. As this comparison proves:

And they're planning an M8 'eye' too? which, from what I've read, is still a standard M8, but with a new 13mp dual cam??

Very silly if you ask me.

Be happy with your M8. They're modelling everything around it, it's been top of the charts for Android smart phones across many review sites this year and it seems to me they're just sweetening up those who've been unsure to date, because of the low mp count on the camera.

Watch that video, and see how a 4mp camera out shines a 13mp one ...

Don't believe the numbers.

Also, there will always be something new, or upgraded around the corner. If you wait for the M8 'eye' - you'll find there's something else upcoming ... and again, and again ...

Well I would never switch simply because its a 16 gig. Hell I would have paid more for a 64 gig M8 and I have a 128 gig card coming.

Why would you have paid more for the 64GB when you have a 128GB card coming? Sounds a little extreme.

Onboard memory is maybe more stable and reliable than external/add on?

Seems the 'EYE' is only better on the camera front, the M8 seems the overall better phone in general. For build quality, resolution, battery life and sensor capabilities.

Why would you have paid more for the 64GB when you have a 128GB card coming? Sounds a little extreme.

So I could have an M 8 with 192 gigs instead of 160. I know some people just use their phone to browse the web but I use mine for quite a bit of media.
