Hi All

I was wondering if there is an app that power cycles my Note 4. I had an app like this for an old Blackberry that would shut down and then power up during the middle of the night. Reason I need this is Im having trouble staying connected to the bluetooth in my truck (2012 Toyota Tundra) I talked with Toyota today and there reason is that the phone needs to be power cycled every 2 days...Im kinda calling BS on this as I had a Note 2 with no problems. Any help would be great.

Thanks

I had this app for BlackBerry as well back in the day when I used Blackberrys (and they actually mattered lol). I drive a 2013 Scion (essentially a Toyota) and I have no issues connecting to Bluetooth at all. I'm sure the headunit/Bluetooth system is probably different though in the two vehicles though. However, I did have a friend who also had a Scion and she happened to have a Blackberry. She updated her BlackBerry one day and all of a sudden it wouldn't connect to Bluetooth. Came to find our it's a compatibility issue with the car's Bluetooth system. They only support certain devices and firmware versions I guess.

It doesn't really help you but it's just something I've seen/experienced lol.

Power cycle your note 4??? I've never heard of that before other then rebooting the phone backup to restart all apps that stop running. Could be just your truck's bluetooth causing the intermitten connection. Or two it could be an app on your phone causing the connection issue. bloat adwares running amock on your phone could also slow things down and eventually disconnect your phone device. Try cleaning out junks from your phone and see if that fix the problem if not then your phone's bluetooth is defected

I'm not sure if this applies, but I've got a 2012 Prius and the bluetooth won't connect if it's cold outside (I live in Florida, 'cold' is define as 40 degrees or less...). This has happened with every phone I've had in that car. Rebooting the phone doesn't make a difference, turning the car radio on and off doesn't make a difference (which makes sense, because BT would be connected for phone calls with the radio off). The only 'fix' is to drive for a couple of miles and let the car warm up, turn off the car and turn it back on. After that BT will connect and work like it should.

For ME, rebooting the phone does NOT get the N4 to reconnect. I have to shut off the car and restart it before BT will reconnect.
Of course this may be one of those YMMV deals, and a phone restart is all that's needed to get the OP connected and merrily on his way.
I feel your pain. Sometimes I can airplane mode cyce and it works. Others I have to restart the phone. Still others I have to restart both the phone and the vehicle. And it always waits just long enough that I stop checking the connection before I drive off.:(

I am having the same problem with my note 4 and 2012 tundra. It's driving me up the wall. It only started a couple months ago and was fine before that.

Yes if I turn the phone off then on again the BT will connect and if I restart the phone its hit or miss, also the headunit works fine with my wife's Blackberry Q10
I also have a 2012 tundra and note 4 and having the same ossue. Restarting the phone doesn't work for me neither does airplane mode. The only thing I am able to do besides restart the truck is to in pair the phone then pair ir again. You would think the Bluetooth on the truck would need a firmware upgrade at some time?
