Accessories Storing spare battery

Just received the seidio 1750 battery. I fully charged my oem battery before swapping it out for the seidio.
Is it ok to store the oem battery fully charged in my car? I thought i read somewhere that it should be stored with about 40% charge left.
Tried to find where i read it, but i threw away most of the docs that came with the phone.

I would store it with 40% charge in a sealed storage baggie in the fridge. If you have a pelican case, that would be better but a baggie or any other container that will seal out moisture will do.

I was hoping to be able to leave it my car in case my battery dies away from home.

If you're going to be using it a good amount, I wouldn't worry about the charge state. I would advise against leaving it in the car when it gets hot outside.
