Root [H631/MS631] CyanogenMod 12.1 for LG G Stylo

Still doesn't mean the device is using full GPS, you can get 100% gains using Battery Saver as well. I can use the device fine without full GPS, but using apps that require GPS coordinates for logging will only work with true GPS enabled.
Doesn't Google maps require true GPS? It's on high accuracy. GPS enabled. I don't know how else to use the GPS.

Link to the latest build?

Thre is a 7-14 build right now. The developer just 3 days ago proposed on releasing the ROM without the LED, and with GPS and Video. But it looks like we will all be waiting longer. The Developer is doing this for free to benefit the community, and is not obligated to do this whatsoever. That's what we get for not getting a Nexus.

It works fine with me on battery saver, don't know why you are having problems.
It works on Battery Saver for me when I browse maps. But as soon as you enter navigation mode it prompts me to enable full GPS. If I cancel, it rejects navigating, and brings you back to the screen prior to navigation. Anyway, when this new build is finally released, we won't ever need to disable our GPS.

Tried GPS Locker and surprisingly it does work.

I really want GPS fixed though, and tap to wake would be icing on the came for sure.

Just found this thread via Google search. Wanted to say thank you to everyone contributing. Really looking forward to installing this today!

Edit: After a little research and following instructions closely, the only thing that I got hung up on was the OEM lockout setting (in Developer Options) for the bootloader. Though I have experience rooting and flashing, I'm pretty sure the OEM lockout is an LG specific setting because I haven't seen it before. I'm very happy to report that this build of CM is running on my T-Mobile Stylo and look forward to the next release.

Thanks again!

Yeah I was thinking it could be ported from maybe the G3/4 CM ROMS or from the stock ROM

Cm 12.1 has it by default now, but the kernel needs to be modified. The Gestures menu on this build is disabled for some reason. I doubt it has the kernel support but it is possible.

If the stock ROM has this feature, shouldn't it be available on CM as well, or is CM running on a custom kernel different from the stock one?

Can someone explain how to flash this rom..
There are tutorials explaining how to flash ROMs all over the internet, but here are the steps:

1. Root your device
2. Flash TWRP recovery
3. Download the latest CM build & GApps and save them to the root of your SD
4. Boot into recovery
5. Make a backup of your current ROM just in case something goes wrong
6. Wipe cache/dalvik, boot, system, and data
7.Install CM and GApps from zip
8. If all goes well and right, you should be able to reboot into CM

There's a tutorial for rooting and flashing TWRP recovery to the Stylo posted on the XDA developer forums. Do some googling, it should come right up.

Going to wait another week to see if CAF/ codeauroraforum will have android M up and running on 8916 targets if so I will move to M rather than continue working on L , but before I will send out a new build with LED off and GPS fixed hopefully. I also need some time to merge 10J updates for new panel and touchscreen so those guy with new devices can enjoy cm too.

You are literally torturing us at this point :(

https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_kernel_lge_msm8916/commits/cm-12.1-lg it's already done. I had to manually apply it since the cm kernel is ahead of LG's :( took about an hour. Now I'm preparing to download 4 kdz for Leon T-mobile/Metro 10f and Stylo T-mobile/Metro 10J. Once I have all the blobs updated to latest release I will build and upload for both devices. Once tested and confirmed booting I will merge in the latest CAF branch for 8916 to bring us up to date with any qcom improvements and bug fixes to the kernel.
