Lanscape keyboard lag.

I have a CDMA Hero and when ever I type in landscape, the on screen keyboard is really laggy. The portrait keyboard is fine. I use handcent sms and I've tried to turn off sound and vibration still no luck. I've tried to use the default messaging app and its the same...any solutions?

I've tried use the stock HTC keyboard and better keyboard with no luck, both still lag while in landscape mode.

I have rooted the phone and flashed Fresh 2.0d.

I'm running Fresh 2.0d as well and do not experience any keyboard lag in the least bit. Could you describe your usage while experiencing the aforementioned problem?

Try Swype. It is a great alternative to the stock keyboards. I tried it and I won't go back to stock

Don't put it on your card.... About 3 or 4 posts down on the linked thread, there is an apk. download it and plug your phone in. turn on sync and open up the download folder, double click it and it will install right to your phone for you.... super easy.

Basically when the phone is in landscape mode and i try to type, the keyboard takes a while to catch up to what I'm typing...I've had this problem with my Touch Pro 2 as well.

That sucks, I really love it. I was just trying to give another option, as I think a lot of people are having issues with the landscape keyboard... Good luck finding one that works for you.

I have the same problem, but im using the default HTC hero keyboard... Anytime i type the phone laggs terribly and takes awhile to catch up, not to mention how it push's other key's that i didnt press. I wish i had my ipod's keyboard on this phone.

I don't think its the large text threads....my keyboard lags in landscape even after I deleted all my messages and even from a fresh boot with nothing running.

The lag is ridiculous typing on forums. Sometimes I want to reply but can't be bothered with the lag. I try to stay in portrait because it seems to help. Vibration needs to be off to avoid extreme lag. The new leak looks like it was addressed slightly because the lag is not as bad but still there.

I'm using Fresh 2.1.1 and so far the lag has gone down but its still there.....but a lot better.
