So, everywhere else I go around I get almost full bars. At home however, I'm lucky if I get one.I have wifi connected almost all the time at home but I'm wondering, how complicated is it for me to change/ upgrade my baseband? Is this something I could do myself? I've tried *228 and option 2 for the tower upgrade but that didnt seeem to do much if anything.

It's not that big of a deal breaker as I don't get many calls, mostly sms and such but the being the kind of guy I am I want to find a way to fix this, if there is.Btw this is a rooted phone with a custom rom..

If you're rooted, try throwing pete's new baseband in, available in rom manager

Yes, I am rooted but I'm running a version of cynagen (Sp?) would that baseband thing work with that rom or is it specific to a certain rom? I'm not partial to any rom yet it was just the first one that loaded right onto my phone lol. Someone told me I should just buy the network extender but uhh I'm not paying 200+ for signal when I barely make calls as it is. Shoot, half the time I use skype for calling the landlines I call and I dont even use my cell but I like to fix things too much so I was just curious.
