Note 5 - Rooting - Hotspot - AT&T Wireless

I love this forum. I've searched and not found my answer so if it is up here somewhere, I apologize.

I am about to go back to AT&T Wireless for the unlimited data plan. I'm also going back to the Note series with the Note 5. I had iPhone 6 Plus but before that Note 4, 3 and 2. I need my phone to have a hotspot and I hear it's only possible if I root it. My iPhone is jailbroken for the same reason.

Here are my questions:
1) Can the Note 5 be rooted?
2) Is it simple, or do I need to find someone with experience?
3) If it is rooted and on AT&T Wireless Unlimited, will it give me the hotspot option that I need? I know it will need an additional app possibly.

You can use the note 5 as a hot spot without rooting it, under settings:wireless and network, click more and you should see the Hotspot option at the top of the list. That's where it is on my Verizon note 5 anyway.

but do you have unlimited data? its not there for people on unlimited.
