What are the icons on Nexus 6P?

Hi @wileki and welcome to Android Forums :)

Any chance you could share a screenshot of the icons in question? Your descriptions aren't ringing any bells for me.

Quick How-To, in case you need it:
  1. On your mobile device, pull up the screen that you want to capture.
  2. Press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time for a few seconds. Your device will save the screen as an image.
  3. At the top of the screen, you'll see a notification that your screenshot has been saved

    .
Tip: To quickly share your screenshot, swipe down from the top of your screen, touch the image's notification, and touchShare

Hmm. All I get is volume goes to zero and 6P tries to reboot and I get a dead android character that says No Command. Next reboot seems to actually reboot.

That sounds like it may have registered the volume press first. You need to make sure that you press the two buttons at exactly the same time. It shouldn't take more than about two seconds.

An easier alternative may be to press and hold the Home navigation button. This will activate Google Now On Tap; the bottom left of the screen will show a Share icon (like was pictured above). Tap that, and you can share a screenshot directly to Google Photos or Imgur or another web services of your choice. :thumbsupdroid:

Blue ball only shows on locked screen. It goes away when I unlock to bring up Google Now on Tap.
At least I discovered partial circles are my hot spot indicator.
Is the blue ball on the left or right side of the notification area? If it's on the left (I'm kind of guessing it is), that's going to be from some app you have installed. Still not ringing any bells on what it could be though...

That's for Android multi user support. Tap it to add another user or switch to another.

My wife and I use it a lot on our tablet so we can have our own setup and apps. I know some people also use it to separate work and personal accounts. You can also use a temporary guest account - handy for if you're handing your phone to someone else to use for placing a call or something.

That's it! Thanks. (Now all I have to do is figure out how to get rid of it since I don' need it.)

I don't think there's a way to get rid of it. You can change a lot of the tiles below it on the notification pulldown using the built-in System UI Tuner but I don't think you can remove the user switcher.

. Not a problem. It goes away anyhow when I unlock. I just wanted to know what it was and you told me. Thanks.
