Help Second Lock Screen with Ads - HELP

My phone was sitting on the lock screen today and the lock screen disappeared and was replaced by a second lock screen with an ad. This is the stock lockscreen software, and has not been altered in any way. My phone has never done this before, and frankly I am infuriated. I don't care if this is supposed to be some "helpful" local tip, as far as I am concerned it is an intrusive advertisement. The ad covers my entire screen and comes up whenever my lock screen sits for over 2 seconds. Even if this feature is optional, it seems like a massive leap in the wrong direction. I am sure there is some way to disable this, but I couldn't find it in a cursory glance over the settings. If you have any insight, advice, or comments, please let me know.

Telling us what phone you have would help: different manufacturers/models/software versions have different "stock" software.

However, something odd you might be able to explain: I did a quick web search to see whether there were other reports and immediately came up with something posted to Reddit 11 months ago. I'm emphasising that because the text you've posted is a direct word-for-word match to that post, which is well beyond coincidence. That person got an answer, and confirmed it worked, which makes it unlikely that you are the same person asking the question here (almost a year later!). But if you've seen that post, as the identical text implies, why have you not just used their solution? So can you explain this?

Could be caused by a "free" app or game you've recently installed, especially if it's showing ads.

Here's a recent lengthy thread about second lock screens appearing on a Samsung S7. Which might provide a solution.

There's been others recently as well.

Hmm...the link you sent doesn't necessarily do the same thing that I'm talking about. BUT, I did recently install a new emoji app called Flash Keyboard. Know anything about that?

I was looking on reddit and found that link, yes. It explained my problem quite well. However, the solution did not solve my issue.
