Message tone problems.

I recently deleted handscent sms. And I've reverted to the good old HTC message app. Only thing is, I can't change my message tone anymore. I keep going into setting, notfications and then choosing a different tone, but it never saves. I'm just stuck with the same old htc message tone. Anyone got any ideas?

Make your way to App Mgmt and find the Messages app and clear the cache and restore defaults for the app. That should allow you to get back to the default settings and then set tones of your choice.

I am new to the Android OS and I am trying to find a way to set a different notification tone for my emails (Gmail) to my sms tone.
