My Note 2 had no problem connecting wirelessly to our HP printer but my new Note 5 cannot detect it. I have installed several HP printer apps, but each time I try to print from my phone I get a panel that lets me only save as PDF, no actual printing.
Need help.

Assuming that your Note 5 and your HP printer are both connected to your home network, it sounds like there's something going one where your Note just isn't detecting there's a printer. Install this Fing networking utility on your Note 5 and just do a basic scan so it reads all the devices that are connected.

Your router, any computers, and whatever other gadgets you have should show up (as long as they're actually turned on of course) but more importantly in this instance your HP printer should be in the list. If not than you just need to reconfigure your printer to get back on your home network but if so, the first thing to always try is just reboot your router, or modem/router if it's one of those carrier-supplied boxes. If your Note 5 still isn't seeing your printer, you might want to try manually assigning your printer a fixed IP address in your router's setup menu. What kind of router, or modem/router, do you have?

Have you tried the aio hp printer remote? Also have you tried printing from in the hp app?
Thank you for your suggestion. I had installed HP Aio remote but had not tried printing from within it. It found my printer and I could print 2 PDFs, however, I could not access my email from it and I need to be able to print from my email. When I try to print from email, I still get just the PDF option. From within my email, from the pull down menu, I selected All printers and it lists 2 things: Save to Google Drive and Samsung Cloud Print, which I have not installed.
Your suggestion has provided half a solution: now I know I can print from the app, however, I would like to avoid the step of turning everything into a PDF first.

It appears now that my Note 5 is seeing my printer but only from within the HP app. I still cannot print from within my email. The only option from within email is to create a PDF, which I can then print from within the app. The app did have an option for me to set up email access but it asked me some questions besides email address and password, which I could not answer.
Thanks for your suggestions.
