Messages taking ages to send

I get this reoccurring issue really often where I try to text and it just keeps saying sending for sometimes 20 minutes, I've tried messenger, Textra and mood messenger and they all do it, I restart my phone and restart the app and none of them work, anyone have a fix? (PS i am in good service and places where I've sent messages fine before)

Verizon so their shouldn't be a problem there I don't think.
