1. Is there threaded SMS? Any pictures of what that interface looks like?

2. I'm assuming you can send picture and video MMS...right? Right?

3. How sensitive is the screen to light touch? Are we talking iphone sensitive? (I hope so)

4. Is the Gmail push?

5. Can you use push gmail AND a separate exchange account on the same phone? (I ask b/c you cannot do this on the iPhone)

6. Is there integration with google voice?

Thanks!

I will give this a shot.. I don't have a Droid but some of your questions are easy to answer...

1. Is there threaded SMS? Any pictures of what that interface looks like?

Yes there is a threaded SMS interface. I don't have a picture of it but it shows you a list by Sender of the SMS and when you tap it and it expands to a threaded conversation.

2. I'm assuming you can send picture and video MMS...right? Right?

Yes, pictures and videos will be threaded in-line in the conversation. You can click on them and save them to the SD card if you want.

3. How sensitive is the screen to light touch? Are we talking iphone sensitive? (I hope so)

I don't know personally.. but I read in one review that it was very close to the iphone if not the same.

4. Is the Gmail push?

Gmail is push and it's very fast. I can sit at my desk and send an email to my Gmail account and by the time I pick up my phone I will see the little notification light flash. The cool thing is that I can open Gmail on my PC and read that email.. then I look over and the notification light will stop flashing (because the phone already knows that email has been read).

5. Can you use push gmail AND a separate exchange account on the same phone? (I ask b/c you cannot do this on the iPhone)

I'm not 100% on this one but I think I read that exchange will work in a seperate email app outside of the Gmail application. The Gmail application pretty much shows a condensed version of what Gmail looks like in a PC browser. I don't think it's going to pull Exchange emails into there. There will be a seperate email app where you can view your exchange email. I have a seperate email app for configuring POP3 accounts etc but I don't use it because I have Gmail check all of my email accounts and pull the emails into one place. Then I just read them all from the Gmail app on my phone.

6. Is there integration with google voice?

Google Voice integration is pretty slick. It is actually an application you download from the Market and install. Once it's installed you can choose to use Google Voice to dial out just for International calls or for all calls (or none). It also has a place to check your various folders (sent, received, SMS etc). It works very well, I'm happy with it so far.

Thanks!

No problem. The phone has an LED which blinks for notifications. I'm not sure if the Droid LED is the same as the one on the G1... but the G1 has something like 4 different colored lights which you can configure for different notifications. So I have blue for SMS and green for email etc. I can see at a glance which it is.

is Gmail push only with the Gmail app for Android, or is there some native support? I liked the classic email interface I had on the iPhone, no push (or didn't seem like it anyway), but when I deleted an email, it archived it, which is what I want. I want to be able to use the phone's native email interface, it's usually faster and easier for me to use.
