So, I've been trying to get Orb streaming working on my Incredible, but I haven't had much luck. Pretty sure I have the Orb portion working properly, but my phone is flunking the streaming tests.

Anyone using Orb and willing to share some setup tips? I had this working beautifully on my BB...

Yes, it works. It's easier to control using the Orb app but it's not cheap. I've tested with both the web interface and the free version of the Orb app and it works well. If you keep going into whatever you want to do, such as Live TV, then eventually it will show you what you want to watch.

edit: don't know about Sirius but I have set up a custom streaming radio channel and it works. Mostly I use it for Live TV to entertain the kiddos

I'm using Orb to watch videos on my phone using the files from my computer with no problems. Is that what you wanted?

I'm not sure what your exact system setup is but this is how I'm getting my Orb to work properly. Let me know if I miss anything.

Vista Home Premium 32-bit
Orb Desktop version: v2.55.0091
TV Tuner: Hauppauge WinTV-HVR950Q Hybrid TV Stick (USB)
*You can grab the latest desktop version here: Orb | Media Anywhere

I'm not currently using the Orb app that's in the market. The mobile web portal has been working fine since my BB Storm days, sad times I know. Open your browser and go to Menu>More>Settings>Mobile View. Make sure mobile view is checked, if not it will load the Desktop version when visiting Orb.

Once logged in, go to Settings>Stream> Select "3GP-AAC/RTSP format (.3gp)"

Once you have that selected, make sure to select "save and exit".

Next, go ahead and select "New speed test" at the bottom of the screen. I'm not sure exactly why, but I've learned that I MUST run a speed test BEFORE selecting a tv channel to stream. I was able to do this in one step on my S1, but on my Incredible it must be done before going to the Program/TV Guide. I'm also noticing that almost every speed test is yielding a speed of 250Kb/s, so you may wanna play around with the preset speed settings and see if that works as well.

If you've already set up your Program Guide on your Desktop, then this should get you up and running as far as watching live TV. If not, feel free to message me. I hope this helps in some way. And if there is anyone else in the forums that can provide more precise info, feel free to chime in as well. Good luck buddy.
