Help! I'm looking for an old custom ROM for HTC Desire Bravo

Hi,

I would really like to get hold of a working Download link for this custom ROM - [ROM][AOSP]dGB v01_28_2012| 2.3.5| 375MB /data| 60MB /system for the HTC Desire Bravo and the other relevant downloads as listed on their website:

for my HTC Desire Bravo (namely kernel, hboot & apps etc). I've scoured the net and tried all the links but none of them appear to work any longer.

Ive recently aquired the phone and have been trying out lots of custom roms etc, but have decided the best for this phone is a small rom thats stable and reliable. This one seems to fit the bill judging by the feedback ive seen. I intend to give the phone to my young daughter.

If anyone is able to guide me in the right direction it really would be much appreciated.

Now this takes me back

This is what happens with old devices: people don't maintain the links indefinitely, and so files become unavailable. Unfortunately I no longer have my old Desire files, which would have contained a copy. I'll have a look later to see whether I still have a copy of the ROM on an old SD card, but am not optimistic. Sadly my other old favourite ROM for that device, Redux2, also seems to be unavailable.

Is the phone S-Off? You only get the full benefit from dGB if you can use custom partitions, and that requires S-Off. If you are not you may be able to do it using Revolutionary, which still seems to have an active download link. I'd make sure you are certain you know what you are doing before running it, and even more so before using a custom hboot to change the partitions (hboot is your bootloader, and if you mess that up the phone is a brick). Admittedly that still doesn't give you much more space (330-360MB vs the 147MB the Desire comes with), but it is something. Won't let you install many modern apps though, but I don't know how many are still compatible (or even whether the Play Store will work on 2.3 - I think the old Android Market app may no longer work).

Hi thanks for the quick response, yeah I appreciate that's the case unfortunately. I have messaged the dev on XDA and this site too and remain hopeful of getting what i'm after.

I'm S-off having used revolutionary already, 4Ext touch recovery and the alpharev jelly HBoot - I've tried many of the kitkat roms but they all seem really laggy or buggy (i suppose that's the nature of the beast). The only plus side in my late interest in the desire I suppose is that generally these old ROMs will have already been developed as far as possible.

After about 7 or 8 attempts I found play Store 6.2 apk download setup perfectly and works a treat. I'll be using either A2SD or Link2SD with an sd-ext partition on my SD. All i need to have on the phone for my daughter in any case will be youtube and kodi the rest will pretty much be binned.
