I found this Daily Mail article on Google Now or whatever it's called, so some UK people who read that paper (no offence) will have seen this.

it's written the way I would have liked to have wroted it. :p

Please note, only to be read by people with 2 legs, a full head of hair, no pets and must be easily offended....

To misquote Woody Allen, the joke was worse than offensive, it wasn't funny.

When I was younger I used to go to comedy clubs regularly

On one occasion the comic landed the punch line and it was crickets.....

I guess if a comic can get over that first silence with a novel quip, it becomes less of a fear, and I'm sure long standing (no pun) comedians still have those moments.

The disasters wannabe comics can't avert (eg Britain / America's Got Talent) is not being able to 'see' outside their heads!

I only reply really to say I never heard the saying 'it was crickets' - but a description was never more apt or funny :D

I found it amusing but I also thought it would have been funnier if it wasn't such an accurately sad look at the way people are today

Not so much an "Interesting Article" but a series of interesting articles. I found this website while randomly cruising the interwebs very early this morning. Seems just a bit UK slanted but very interesing to people of a certain age.

Dang you, @dontpanicbobby ! You almost caused me to drop down the rabbit hole again!

These new car side / door mirrors are interesting. Developed alongside a new Audi electric vehicle, they're designed to reduce airflow and fuel consumption.
The article stated they are currently legit for Europe but not the US.

Having worked a few months at a place where we had 4 BMW i3's ER's I got to love driving them, but they are unique in the electric / hybrid EV world.

Like anything else in the genre, it doesn’t translate to real-world, but if you’ve ridden at any kind of speed, it gives you a sense of how tremendous an accomplishment it is to do that...successfully.
I’ve driven a car at nearly 150 and a motorcycle at 120, and I can’t imagine 180 on a bicycle, special bike and slipstream or not. ;)

Actually, now I've watched the video and followed thw link to the bike I learned more.

Still looks a bit weird.
