Mayor Buttigieg Can't Get My Vote.....cuz he's out

I didnt get to watch the full video but he dose seem impressive. The heath care questions tough for any politician regardless of party affiliation. His China trade stance was solid. He mentions commonality between or two countries, incompasing both securty with mutual benefits. Much better then "they cracked like eggshells" type jargon our president is using.
Trump is facing an uphill battle with his own party. Joe Walsh and William F. Weld dividing the Democratic party and his chances of re-election at the same time. The Republicans have a big opportunity to take the presidency and they know it.

i agree that having a republican primary will hurt trump to some extent, but i think that he is already doing that on his own.

i just like the mayor. he does not falter or show any weakness when he speaks. i can't think of any of his plans that i dislike. "medicaid for all who wants it", foreign policy, and so forth that he talks in the interview are spot on.

i would love to see him up against trump in a one on one debate. he'll destroy trump......hands down!!!!!!

1st Gentleman than.
That's going to take some getting used to.
First Man? Too crude.

I must say, the possibility of a "First man" never occurred to me. It not so much the gay thing but the "frist man" thing that is, to put it lightly, a bit unsettling to me. I know, times have changed I also believe gays have just as many rights as everyone else.

PS : What was Theodore Roosevelt's foreign policy slogan? JK

if Hilary would have won the election, Bill would have been the first to be both President and First Man;)

You know what, your absolutely correct. You been very supportive and I ready appreciate that more than you know. I did my best to tailor my response. Just a little subtle humor no offense intended.
I will aslo say, I'm not ruling him out because hes gay.

i saw no offense in what you said. i just wanted to point out that if hillary would have won, we would have a first man already. but i think the Mayor's possibility is far more interesting fact. to have the first gay first man would be very fascinating to see unfold.

as much as i love the mayor as a presidential candidate, i'm just not sure how ready the rest of the country will be able to handle it.

I wouldn't count him out just yet. Obama was a first, Hillary almost won, so I think candidate Buttigieg is a solid contender in his run for president. I wouldn't coun him out just yet.
At this point I sould keep my mouth shut, politics and religion , but Im going to say it. Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton, I didnt like either one and I did cast a vote. If hypothetically it was Trump vs Buttigieg, I would cast my vote for Buttigieg.

How will he do against President Pence though?
That's coming before the election.
nice wish my friend. trump will not get removed from office. it will take a miracle in order for the senate to vote for removal. i think it might have been different if it was not during an election year coming up. too many republicans will want to keep trump in office just so that they can get re-elected.

I'll vote for a new president. Trumps pissing in everybody's pool, China, Russia, North Korea, and now Iran. We need to Vote him out of office.

I don't know. Mayor Pete looks mighty young. Pence has that dignified elderly statesman look even if he doesn't talk much.

So if Trump survives and runs with Pence who will Buttigieb counter with.

Image counts to damn much these days.
what's wrong with young? the Mayor is smart as hell. i know he will beat trump in an IQ test. so not only is he smart, he does have experience in politics and knows how government works, unlike trump.

a friend mentioned a good ticket that i might vote for and that is:
Joe Biden for president with the Mayor as VP.....then in 4 yrs the Mayor can then run again for president. it's not a bad strategy for the Mayor.

and sorry the only thing that pence looks like is an old conservative white man......nothing stately about him at all.

I'll vote for a new president. Trumps pissing in everybody's pool, China, Russia, North Korea, and now Iran. We need to Vote him out of office.
no disagreeing there.

i am quite surprised in the momentum the Mayor is getting. he did really well in Iowa despite the debacle there. polling for New Hampshire is showing him either in the lead or number two depending on what poll you look at. I think now that the target is on his back....he responded well in the last debate. i like the fact that he kept to his messaging rather than duke it out with the other candidates.

well i just changed the title. i was going to post this as soon as i heard the news, but i was too sad to do it. plus i did not have any time to really consider posting.

....any ways what really sucks is that i did mail in my vote early on, and thus was not able to change my vote. i'm guessing that the 6% of the california votes for Mayor Pete were also mail votes as well. that's pretty darn good, if you ask me.

looks like i'm officially endorsing Joe Biden for president.

GO JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
