Soft-bricked a Quanta Gigaset QV830 Tablet

I made an attempt to flash a ROM on my Quanta Gigaset QV830 tablet. It was the SDK and Fastboot ROM from Magisk Manager. That stupid decision may have soft-bricked my device, thus making it inoperable, yet repairable. I do not have a computer that will be of any help at the moment, as the only laptop I have is an Asus Chromebook C202SA under jurisdiction of a school district using Enterprise Origin, unless, of course, the repair simply involves downloading and unzipping a few files to an SD card.

My Quanta Gigaset QV830 tablet will not be read by a computer via USB, it will not boot into Recovery Mode, or Fastboot Mode, and it will not leave it's state of being, in a constant bootloop. Please help me, as I have run out of ideas, and I cannot afford to get it fixed at a shop.

you need to find a firmware update to flash for the tablet not sure where you can find that. maybe it might be on the quanta website? what rom where you trying to flash? is it a custom rom? if so, is the tablet rooted? which custom rom was it? do you have a link?

if not the the question goes back to what rom did you try to flash? was it for your tablet specifically?

The ROM I was attempting to flash was called, I believe, ADB and Fastboot for Android. The application I used was Magisk Manager.How do I flash a firmware update without ADB possible, and with Recovery Mode also being impossible to access, and with the tablet not connecting to my computer because of the bootloop?

BTW, I do not think it was specifically for my tablet. That will be why my tablet broke. I was experimenting.

adb and fastboot are not roms, they are tools with many purposes. well first you need to find the firmware. what happens when you try to go into fastboot or recovery modes? are you sure you are using the right button combinations? i have not researched your tablet, but make sure you have the right combination of buttons.

Your laptop can't connect to your tablet because there's no functional operating system for it to interact with. But if your tablet is stuck in a bootloop, that itself is a good sign as it does indicate it's just soft-bricked. You need to flash a stock ROM and that should restore it back to working condition. You referred having a microSD card so if you have or can download the stock firmware file, copy that to the card, boot up your tablet into its Recovery mode, and try to flash it from there:

I cannot boot into recovery mode. The keys that make the tablet boot into Recovery Mode (POWER + VOLUME DOWN) do not seem to do anything. The POWER button does, however, turn the tablet on and off, but it continues to be in an annoying bootloop when I turn it on. I will, however, see if downloading the stock ROM will do anything, in accordance with booting in to Recovery Mode. I usually know what I am doing when it comes to Android, I just do not know anything about fixing a soft-brick.

I believe that I may have been flashing a ROM, as the Quanta Gigaset QV830 has no Fastboot option from Recovery Mode or the button combination. And the file I tried to flash was a .ZIP file, from a ROM manager, the one called Magisk.

Oh yeah, and when I attempt to enter recovery mode, the Gigaset goes back into it's bootloop. I could potentially take it to a shop, but I do not have the $$ to do that right now.

From what you've said, it sounds it needs to be re-flashed with the manufacturer firmware. And you'll need to contact Quanta tech support for that.

BTW i didn't know that Quanta sold devices under their own brand. But know they make some of the Macbooks for Apple, and not a lot else about them.

Thank you. I will see what I can do about that. However, as I have rooted the tablet, I am worried that Quanta will not cover it or provide the help that I need to re-flash the stock firmware. If not, I have an internship at a computer place, perhaps I could go and get it fixed and stuff for free, with the equipment that I need at hand, I could do it alone at the shop, by myself, with possibly a little bit of help... Just a thought on my part, I guess.

Did you try pressing the Power button to reboot, then press both the Volume Up and Power buttons continuously for several seconds (ten or more) to see it it will start up in Recovery mode?

That did not work. I tried it, it re-entered the bootloop. Also, POWER + VOLUME DOWN is the correct combination to enter Recovery Mode on the Quanta Gigaset QV830. It seems to be the only one, which is unfortunate.
