Cannot take screenshot on Android phone

Hello all, I have an LG LML212VL Android 8.1.0 smartphone device, and I am unable to take a screenshot as it has been instructed to me because I cannot click & hold the Power + Down Volume button together....
If I try to, one of two things happens, either the phone asks to turns off, or the volume goes down, but no screenshot is taken.
Is there another way that I can take a screenshot on my phone please?? If so, can you provide easy to follow directions??

No certain what you mean by this, 'touch 3 fingers and hold on screen'
but I think I got it now, I installed an app. that takes screenshots, which seems to have worked out for me!!

I just created a Tasker profile to take a screencap after an up and down shake of the phone works like a champ

There are many screen shoot apps on Google PS. I just use the button combination .

Heck, on my Samsung S20 5G I'm always taking them by accident; Enough times Google has been asking me If I want to cleanup my screenshots on the status bar messages.

When I made a Tasker profile to take a screenshot as described above with a phone shake, at one point I set the sensitivity to its highest, at which point I was getting a screenshot about everytime a butterfly flapped his wings in Tokyo!

Yes, I don't remember the charge, but it seems to me it was six, seven bucks maybe. Best app I ever purchased, hours of fun automating this thing to do the craziest stuff. It came on my radar when I wanted a way to keep music apps from autoplaying when I started the car, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.

That is exactly what you wrote before, and still makes no sense to me. I tried placing 3 fingers on the touch screen but nothing happened at all....
I got an app. called ScreenShotGo, that was free, and seems to work very well for me, since nothing else would work!!

It's actually a timing issue of hitting the buttons simultaneously.. keep trying until ya get the timing right..
Edit: some devices are more a PITA than others..

Yes, this phone can be somewhat of a pain, but I guess that is what I get for buying a cheaper phone....
Still, as I said, I got an app that works just fine, without having to do funny combinations of buttons on the device!!

That is what I did, and it has been working fine!!
