Hey,

I've developed a top trumps game with 50 NBA legends.

Play Store Link

Each card has four categories: Points, Titles, All-Star Games and Years. For all four categories, the higher value wins.

There are a total of 50 cards from the following NBA legends (in alphabetical order):

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Ray Allen, Carmelo Anthony, Charles Barkley, Elgin Baylor, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, Bob Cousy, Stephen Curry, Clyde Drexler, Tim Duncan, Kevin Durant, Julius Erving, Patrick Ewing, Walt Frazier, Kevin Garnett, Pau Gasol, George Gervin, James Harden, John Havlicek, Elvin Hayes, Allen Iverson, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Jason Kidd, Karl Malone, Moses Malone, Reggie Miller, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O\'Neal, Bob Pettit, Paul Pierce, Scottie Pippen, Robert Parish, Chris Paul, Willis Reed, Oscar Robertson, David Robinson, Dennis Rodman, Bill Russell, John Stockton, Isiah Thomas, Wes Unseld, Dwyane Wade, Jerry West, Dominique Wilkins

Some of the players are still active, so not every category (i.e. points) is always up to date on a daily basis. However, the values are updated regularly.

Feel free to let me know what you think!

Thanks! As far as I know the NBA doesn't have a problem with it and sees it more like free advertisement for their product. At least that seems to be the case with youtube videos and stuff like that. But you're right, that's a potential problem. I already had to change one app title because of copyright.

@ocnbrze and @Milo Williamson
I thought about that, but isn't Top Trumps the correct term for that type of game? English isn't my native language. In Germany we call these type of games "Quartett", a name I like more.

Isn't "trading cards" something different? Isn't it just a card with a picture of the person (like baseball cards)? Like I said, I'm not sure about the terminology since it's not my native language.

But I'll think about it.

I heard of the word of trump of using duration of card game, then again we are in the "here and now" time, and Donald Trump is one of the most pig facist people over here in the states. So the word "Trump" triggers such vulgar, and people are never ever ready to hear "Trump" unless it is a political facade person, I think I used it more then once when doing cards, just not outside of playing card games either, maybe something like "Magical cards" or something even better.. I think you are in a USA fourms and people might skip over it too.

Thanks for your replies. Maybe I'll just go with NBA card game since I have a description of the rules within the game.

It is quite difficult with games that are called differently in every country anyway. If I have a quiz everybody knows what I'm talking about. A quiz is a quiz. So maybe a general name like "card game" is better anyway. People in lets say Spain or Slovenia have no idea what "Top Trumps" means.

By the way: Can I just change the name of an already existing app on Google Play without problems? Or do I have to resubmit the app so to speak?

It is a good thing that most developers per game just pop's up on here to help them out, with even trump is slang as mike said above,

How about "NBA Top Tarot?"

The one I still remember for inappropriately named games, was Vagrant Commander, a sci-fi type space game from a dev in China. "vagrant" meaning a bum, hobo, or tramp, of course. And after advice from AF users, the dev did rename the game.
