Different ring tone for contacts and non-contacts?

I would like to set TWO different ring tones. One for anyone in my contacts list, and the second one for everyone else. I know how to set the ring tone for individual contacts, but I can't find a way to set one for all contacts and another for those who aren't in contacts.

Is there any way to do this?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+

In order to defeat those constant robocalls , I downloaded a file of just silence and made IT my default ringtone. I guess they are still calling, but at least I don't hear it. Then for anyone whose call I actually wanted to hear & pick up, I designated a specific ringtone for them. Something similar might work for you.

Thanks, but again, this would involve assigning a ring tone to each person on my contact list. I want to be able to hear anybody who's on my contact list.

It sounds like there is no way to do what I want, which seems pretty basic.

Another option - some Phone apps let you group contacts, like Friends, Coworkers, etc.

You can select all your contacts and add them to the same group, then assign a ringtone to that group.

Thanks. Although I figured out how to create a group, I couldn't Select All when adding a member. When I tried Select All first, it didn't give me an option to add to a group, only to discard. But at least I can assign a ring tone for a group, so I'll just create several groups and assign ring tones. Probably better to do it that way anyway.

i found this:
Group Ringtone

from the decription, this sounds like what you are looking for:
Group Ringtone automatically sets the custom ringtones of your contacts based on the group membership of each contact. So now you can also use Google Contacts to manage your ringtones.

Group Ringtone also supports a default ringtone for all your contacts. By setting the default ringtone different from your phone's default ringtone, you can have different ringtones for stored contacts and "unknown" (not stored) contacts.
