Why is Setup&transfer and Smartthings always running

Ive noticed that i always have SmartThings and Setup&transfer always running in the background on my phone. Do these apps always run automatically or should i be concerned about unauthorized access to my phone? I dont have any smart anything linked to my phone and I have never set up transfer of data to any other device.

I presume your phone is a Samsung? I've never heard of this "Setup&transfer", unless it's a service of SmartSwitch? But do you use any Bluetooth audio devices, like headphones or speakers? That uses SmartThings, and isn't "unauthorized".

what phone do you have? and no your phone is not hacked. do you have bluetooth devices paired with the phone? those will use the smart things app. not sure about setup&transfer? but those are system apps and are harmless. are they draining your battery life? if you have a samsung phone, you can run the battery and device care optimization. it will close any unnecessary apps that are running in the background.
