Help Any of you switch to an EVO yet

I have been looking at the EVO forum page, and most complaints I see so far seem stupid. Battery only lasting 16-20 hours, phone being really big, Android issues... nothing that seems legit.

So if any of you have played with/switched to one, how does it stack up compared to our Moments?

I'm really loving it. The moment was already a pretty big phone so the EVO doesn't seem all too large. The screen size is great. I will say compared to the amoled screen on the moment the colors seem a little washed out on the EVO. It was the first thing I noticed but it is by no means a deal breaker for me.

The complaints about battery life must be from people that haven't had a smartphone or unrealistic expectations.

Granted I only had a moment for two months (I bought one just to learn android in prep for the EVO) but I'm glad I switched. No more CDMA lockups. I miss a physical keyboard a little but with the big screen I find virtual keyboards pretty easy to type on.

Oh and I have to say that I'm preferring sense over vanilla android now that I've used both.

So you get about the same/little better download speeds as a 56k modem?
Don't be a smartass and a hater all in one. Study up on WiMax technology. A dialup speed is impossible on that network. Only obvious with the microwave transmissions. ot dial up dude, meant MBPS not KB.

And I'm a business owner x4 so I rarely have two hands available for typing and texting so the soft keyboard with predictive text is perfect. At my wireless chain we actually flashed one Evo to cricket yesterday for a custy. Not too bad even on cricket's clogged up overpopulated Rev "A" EVDO. A snapdragon spec processor in a phone is just playing dirty having others crying foul.

My boss just got an EVO and like with most things technical I'm the one to set it up and show him how to use it.

After messing with it for a couple of hours I picked up my Moment and it felt... so small. The EVO's screen is about the same size as the Moment (the entire Moment). Because of the screen size the on-screen keyboard is actually very usable in landscape mode.

I've been very happy with the Moment (since last November) and I've experienced very little problems with it but I'm sorry to say that I'm thinking about switching.

Well I got my wife one yesterday. We took her Moment and I fully-flashed it to CricKet with Apps, GPS, Web, and MMS and then we listed it on Criagslist for $275.00. It sold in an hour, so we took that and paid the difference and paid $450 for her one. And we still get to upgrade in November on her line, that way when Im sure something else will be in play with a bigger Processor on Froyo, I won't be missed on that one and I won't have to pay full retail.

CricKet customer's feel left out, so flash your old Android's away and pass them down to the less fortunate for a nice price! Smart and easy! Now If we can just figure out who's is who's before we leave thje house without looking at the wallpapaper. She has a nice pink live WP. Ugh! lol.

I would LOVE to upgrade to the Evo, but the price kills it. I'm a Premier customer and my upgrade is in November. My wife's won't be until Nov 2011. Even with a trade-in of $100 that people are reporting getting for their Moments, the price of $350 is high.

What a slick deal for Sprint, Moments are still going for $150 on eBay.

I played with one in the store for about a half hour. I can say I am deffinetly not switching. It is just to large and there is no 4g here,in fact the moment is to large and I'm thinking of going smaller.
I have my phone in my shirt pocket most of the time so either of the 2 are way to heavy and bulky.
I do deliveries and have a printer on one hip and a scanner on the other so there is no real room for a big belt style holster for either phone.
Also when in sleep mode there is no visible notifications as to missed messages on either phone, and thats one thing I really hate.
Since I started using Shout Out for texting, I really don't need a keyboard unless I have to type silently anyway lol.
