Root Installed Evil Eris 3.0...many questions/problems

hey everyone,

just installed evil eris 3.0 and i like it although it resembles 2.0 a little. i have one question tho. when you go into the market, why does it get rid of half my apps that i had installed? i don't remember what i had and i don't remember what app i used to back them up. also, do i have to go back into recovery to install the live wallpaper patch?

one last question. since i did a nand backup of evil eris 2.0.1, do i need to do a wipe of my phone before i restore it?

thanks

There were lots of reports of the market acting strangely over the past couple of days. I don't know if it was affecting all Eris users, or just those swapping ROMs in and out. I know in my case, everything disappeard - except for my paid apps and Google maps. A day or so later, after installing a ROM I've never used before - they were all back.

i don't remember what i had and i don't remember what app i used to back them up.

If you can't remember what you had, you probably weren't really using them. You could certainly use Nandroid to restore the EE2.0 you had installed (assuming you backed it up), to have a look to see what you installed - they will all be there.

also, do i have to go back into recovery to install the live wallpaper patch?

Dunno. What does the dev tell you to do?

one last question. since i did a nand backup of evil eris 2.0.1, do i need to do a wipe of my phone before i restore it?

Almost always you need to do a wipe. Certainly this would be the case if rolling backwards to an older ROM, as you are suggesting. The only time you don't do a wipe is when you are upgrading to a slightly newer version of the same ROM, and the developer tells you that you can do a "no-wipe" install. Some mod patches are also distributed as an overlay install that is performed without a wipe "over the top" of an existing ROM. Those will usually be obvious, because they are relatively small - a couple of MB or less. (A full ROM is usually > 70 MB).

rooted yesterday and am running evileris3.0 have not had any evileris 3.0 issues but do have minor one but i don't think it has anything to do with ee3.0 at all.

when i connect to my wifi and try to get on the market i get error but when i disable it, and get on it works fine.

other then that everything working great.

I have the same issue in regards to this. Not sure how to fix it and I have had this ROM for some time now, I have looked everywhere I know of to fix but found nothing.

I am also having issues with the Navigator. I tried posting something on here about this but still no answers...
