Charging problem with HTC Eris! Help!

I plugged in my phone to charge it and it stays stuck in the yellow, the battery symbol doesn't move while I'm charging it. I unplug it and a notification comes up, saying 10% battery left. Does anyone know what's going on? I'm on vacation right now, and I'm too far from a verizon store. Someone please help.

i thought this was a problem at first as well... i later discovered that the battery meter doesn't move until it gets more fully charged... just let it charge for a while and then it should start showing that it is charging in the little battery symbol

Okay thank you, that worked. it charges very slowly but surely.
