I've tried Youcast, Hoccer, bluetooth file transfer, androbex and astro bluetooth module and NOTHING works. I've searched and read countless post and NOTHING works. I don't care about sending pics or doc, I want to be able to send full mp3 files without using email.

I have a Samsung Moment, 2.1 upgrade and everything is great except I can't send mp3 via bluetooth or text. If someone can help me do this using whatever works, free or paid apps, I'll pay u.

are you trying to send files from your phone to another phone? is the other phone on a different carrier?

Trying to send from my phone to other phones; I've tried to send to t-mobile phones (one was an android phone, one wasn't) and to another phone just like mine the Moment. I want to be able to send to any phone like I was able to do with my Moto Q9c.

well, my wife and I both have the moment. we both have the bluetooth file transfer app installed and running. i make sure the phones are paired then i choose the ringtone i want to send and hit the upload button and it uploads to her phone. i never tested this with a non android phone. u got me wondering now

I get some kind of push error with Bluetooth transfer app. I'm not trying to send ringtones b/c the file is small & I can send them thru text.

are you running stock 2.1 or modded need a little more info.

Follow These Steps:
1) Re-flash to stock 2.1(NOTE: THIS WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE, MAKE A BACK-UP)
2) Download Bluetooth File Transfer from Android Market
3) Turn On Bluetooth
4) Go To Remote Files
5) Hit Menu & Search For Devices (Make Sure Receiving Device's Bluetooth Is Turned On and In Discovery Mode)
6) Once Found, Press The Device and Let It Go Through The Process.
7) When Asked For A Password, Try 1234 or 0000 First.
8) Once Connected To Phone, Go To Local Files
9) Find The Folder Your Music Is In
10)Select Which Songs You Would Like To Send
11) Press Menu & Hit Upload
12) Wait For Songs To Transfer Then Your Done !

THIS WORKS FOR ANDROID AND NON-ANDROID PHONES !​

Can't get past #6. I get popup saying "Service not found You can't connect with target device b/c it lacks of the "File Transfer Profile" (OBEX FTP) and/or the "Object Push Profile" (OBEX OPP) Bluetooth services."

I tried with Blackberry and another Moment phone.

You may need to re-flash your firmware.

Okay, When You Go Into The App, Press Menu and Settings, Then Scroll Down And Press Enable under Object Push Profile and under File Transfer Profile Then Try The Directions Again.

I have the same issue only it is with an HTC EVO. I can send files to it but not receive. Not sure the problem but also heard about Bump. Works for apps but couldn't get it to send music files.

Ok, seriously this sucks. I can't get youcast or bluetooth file transfer to work. I'm sitting here with two moments in my hand. Both just updated and re-flashed and it still doesn't work. I did get hoccer to transfer but it's super slow. Bump allowed me to transfer an apps (only 1 at a time) but not music. Are there any other apps?

Bluetooth File Transfer only works with certain phones. Like I try to send a file to my friends Cliq and I get the FTP error. I guess it isn't capable. Then I try to send something to another friends Samsung Behold, it works fine. I'm still unable to receive files so I use Hoccer for Android users. Still trying to be able to receive through BT though.

Try this. Download the Dropbox app on your phone and computer and put all the files there. It'll take a while to upload(depending on the amount) but it'll get there. Then download to the phone through the app.

That's what I do since my SDcard has a virus that makes all files transfered show as 0 bytes.

I tried Bluetooth file transfer last night for the first time from my Moment to my niece's Rumor 2. Mine said "Transfer complete" and the LG said "Received" or something like that, yet we couldn't find the picture on her phone?

So of course I installed file transfer on The Wife's Moment and tried the same. Got the green checkmarks all through "Searching service", "Connect to device" and "Processing data" to where I get the transfer complete message, but there was no similar message on the other Moment and again I couldn't find the picture.

When we had our old LGs on ATT there were no problems transferring via bluetooth (unless it was to someone on (always) Verizon or (sometimes) Sprint). Well, anyway, I'm off to the bt file transfer beginner's guide to figure this out.

OK, so according to the beginners guide, I shouldn't be able to transfer via bluetooth from my non-rooted phone to my niece's LG. Weird that the LG would show the transfer received message, even if we couldn't find the jpg.

Also, I can't get the "send via bluetooth" transfer to work between our 2 non-rooted Moments, both running bt file transfer, like the instructions say I should. Browsing using the remote files method does work.

Also again, I didn't have to inputa password when pairing. Instead, a box popped up with a 5 number code on both phones, and if the number matched I pressed OK. A change made in an update that didn't get addressed in the guide?
