Ok...i need some help. I really hope this hasnt been discussed before b/c i did search.

When i'm on a call, my face continuously is pressing buttons or hanging up on whoever im on the phone with. Is there anyway to disable the screen or lock it altogether while on a call? I've tried pressing the lock button, but as soon as I move my face, it comes back on and im pressing buttons with my face.

The VZ sales guy slipped one of those privacy screen protectors in my bag without me requesting it (along with a car charger). I should've noticed it, but for some reason, he was able to lower the price of the phone to 149 for me even though i'm not yet eligible for ne2. Really sneaky, I was pissed when i got home. Needless to say, I returned the car charger.

Anyway I say that to say that I kept the screen protector and i think it may be interfering with the sensor. Anyone else having similar issues?

guess my phones the only one doing this....

Actually, mine started doing this yesterday as well. Sometimes I can get it out of being locked by tilting it 'just right', but that may be a fluke. I have to slightly slide open the keyboard to get the screen to unlock during a call.

Actually, with the tilting it 'just right', I'm wondering if the sensor is getting hit with the right amount of light when I tilt it. Might be that it's not positioned quite right behind the case hole and is partially blocked?

Either way, gonna stop by verizon either today or tomorrow and see about an exchange.

I did talk to motorola via chat about this, and they suggested powering the phone off, then pulling the battery for a few minutes. That is supposed to reset the sensor. But, that didn't work for me.
