Root Headset music bug - galaxo fix

Hi.

Unplugged headset bug was pissing me off so much that I decided to work with it.
Galaxo 1.6.3.x is really great and kicks ass.

If music app annoys you after unplugging headset just delete it.

Delete from system/app two files:
Music.apk
Music.odex

No need to restart, unplug your headphones and enjoy quiet.

Instead of crappy music.apk use Meridian from market

I kinda like the random music starts! On my phone it is usually Tom Waits or The Clash that start magically when I remove my headphones.

it wont let me pull that apk and odex from the device which makes it a bitch if i want to push it back

also "cubed" gets triggered by headset removal if controll button is active and i need it active as i use it on the train to start and stop music

Edit. Backed up apk amd odex then removed them. Cubed still triggered by same bug

can someone confirm if mixzing will experience this bug after the deletion of those 2 files?
i'm thinking of finally upgrading to galaxo, but this is a biggie for me

not tried mixzing
cubed is a very nice looking player but slightly let down by the controls and playlists.
it loses tracks randomly and you cannot edit a playlist onces its created or add files indevually

When I go to system/app no files are showing up. I am using ES File Explorer. What am I doing wrong here? I tried remounting using the galaxo utility for RW and still nothing shows up...

you need something like root explorer that can actually browse hidden locations

I figured it out, I updated to the latest ES File Explorer and root is working now. Using the root option go to /data/apps_s/ and delete the music.apk and music.odex

How about the volume in the earspeaker ( the one on the phone )

Can it be enhanced? Its very very quiet i can barely hear anyone during a call.

MixZing still has that bug even after deleting those two files.

A real fix would be nice as this bug is very annoying...

galaxo, something changed with one of drakaz memory and program tweeks that really pisses it off lol

Yeah, that's the problem. You have to open the music app, hit play and then hit pause again.

put the widget on and hit play then pause
i have advanced audio manager installed so i can turn down the media volume for speaker only

I personally mute the media volume. It works, but a real fix would still be better.

Same here.

I'd rather have drakaz working on GAOSP though. Galaxo is already great (is there any single issue beside this one?).

This issue can also be replicated if you listen to music with headphones, disconnect them. Then if you haven't rebooted your phone mount your SD and unmount it. It will go back to playing music....

And I can also confirm, deleting those two apk files will do nothing. It seems something is wrong or crashing when we unplug the headphones that keeps the music "playing" in the memory.
