Are you a student? Want an Evo? 15% off Credit Every Month

ok, let me get this straight.... I started a new contract with me Evo, on a family plan 6/5/10.... If i want to get this 15% off, will it start a new two year contract or just add on to my existing contract?
If you move your account to the discount plan then it will renew the two year contract from the day you move your account. So you will be adding one month. That is my understanding.

Keep in mind guys that the discount you get is only being applied to the actual plan and because they are charging a seperate fee of $10.00, they are not discounting that $10.00. I just got my first bill since swapping and I have a %25 discount, and noticed that it only applied to the 69.99. Kinda crappy.

Dont know if this was mentioned but I didn't want to read through all these posts

People on the Sprint Employee Referral plans, is this a better deal? I'm on the fence about this. Since using the employee plan, I already get $10 off and 50 extra minutes for land lines.. Any input would be appreciated.

This is better because it doesn't preclude you from earning Sprint Premier status. The Employee Referral plan gets you an extra 50 min. or w/e but the way it's looked at, the base plan is the cost - the discount and that instantly puts you under the $69.99 margin for SP... Whereas the StudentRate discount (and most employee discounts) are factored in AFTER, so you still qualify for SP if you're on the Everything Data $69.99 plan.

I got my first bill a few weeks ago, should be getting my 2nd one any day now... I got a $25 credit on my first bill as predicted, should be getting a second one now, still waiting on my $100 rebate from Sprint and my $25 check (+screen protector) from Studentrate. I'm not terribly concerned about the latter, the screen protector in particular I'll probably just cut up and use on the camera lens. :p

This was stated on the StudentRate boards, not sure if it was explicitly stated on the offer site. It's not like it'd be a big difference for those w/15% discounts, even w/25% you'd just save $2.50 more if it applied to the entire bill instead of just the base plan.
