I now am hooked on this app. You get points just for checking into each store. By checking in I mean just clicking on the stores that are listed in your current vicinity and seing what the latest deal is they are offering to shopkick users. Then on top of that, some stores like bestbuy have these little box's that they place at the entrance of the store. The box's put out an inaudible sound that cant be heard by people, however your phones mic will pic up the sounds and know that you just walked into that specific store and give you more points for actually walking inside.

On top of that, some stores will have sponsored products for you to scan. If you have some time to kill, you can find the items listed and scan the barcode with the phone camers to earn points.

If any of you decide to try it out, you can use my referal code: tiger569 and we both earn 100 points.

I've only had my android phone for a week, and im loving it so far.

So is this an app that constantly runs in the background? Sounds like a nice battery driner to me as it would need to be constantly listening for this sound.
