Help No camera or video after OTA 2.2

i tried rebooting a few times no luck. what could be happening?

I had the same issue, but I solved it differently...Just go all the way to the camera app button itself(versus shortcut) open it, jump back to home. Try camera app again, It should work fine.

If you have LED Light installed, uninstall it.

I had this problem and it cleared up after a battery pull. Didn't have to delete led app. Didn't know about that though

Uninstalled my 2 LED apps and the flashlight app and my camcorder and camera work perfect.

the market sometimes take a bit to show all your apps

So on my wifes evo after getting froyo the camera wont work. When I click on the app camera logo comes up and then goes back to the main page.

You likely have a flashlight app installed, yes?

Uninstall that and try again. Others are reporting that third party flashlight apps are conflicting.

Mine was doing this also, I got rid of LED Light, dont need it anymore since Froyo has its own flashlight. Problem solved, the software was not playing nice at all.

Wish the widget was like LED light though.

My phone does not have led light app installed. The camera worked earlier today and now it does not. I just did a hard reset yesterday.

iI just went in apps under settings and started clearing data in every app that I thought might even have the slightest thing to do with the camera. even cleared sense data and most my home screen setup but now my camera works again. weird.

That took me forever to figure out. I had the led flashlight app when I initially updated to 2.2 (stock unrooted) but uninstalled it and went through numerous reboots. The camera would occasionally work, but it was hard to troubleshoot because it was so intermittent.

Finally, yesterday I tried to use the barcode scanner to scan some qr codes. When it couldn't access the camera it got me thinking about a couple of 3rd party barcode apps that I had installed. Uninstalled those, rebooted, and no issues yet.

Figured I'd share that since I haven't seen anyone else mention that, and a non-working camera (especially with how great the evo camera is!) sucks.

When I start the app the camera symbol starts up but then goes to a blank or black screen. The only way out is to hit the home button. Who knows the fix. My phone is updated and has the pre-loaded apps only. Hard restarts and flashing does not seem to work. This problem is all over the internet.

I don't know how this worked but I took the battery out and pressed hard on the camera lens. It had a small snap. Restart. It works now.
