actually if you get banned and then try to sign up again, they will get your IP address and ban you agian, and again, and again. Just keep it civil and you want get into trouble. Everyone can disagree if you want. Nobody is winning or losing "cool points" for one uping someone in an online forum. Lets not trash this place.

lol I quoted a post, but it looks like the mods are in the process of deleting alot of woohoo1's posts so it didn't show up. :eek:

edit just in case you guys were wondering why I said what I said and who I was saying it too ;)

It's ways around IP address. I did a little work with routers, switches, kivs, and so on. DHCP or static IP addresses, theirs ways around it.

This is from the new orders status site from Verizon Wireless:

Order Date: 08/12/2010
Order Number: 400xxxxxxx
Tracking Number:
Courier:

If I remember correctly a lot of people on the forum were saying that FedEx was the courier for Verizon... I guess that new Courier part will leave room for other future couriers or for places that FedEx may not deliver to. I can't remember if the question of FedEx being the exclusive courier was brought up in this thread or not, but I thought that I'd share.

VZW does occasionally ship via USPS or UPS, but that is usually only done for employees of those shipping companies.

In my experience I've never seen them use anyone other than FedEx. Could be rare occasions though. I know as a store owner all of our inventory from Verizon comes 100% of the time by FedEx. Also every warranty device or phone shipped directly to the customer has been 100% of the time FedEd. Verizon also send us "letters" that always come overnight FedEx. :)

I just got an email too!! Also ordered online on Aug 12 with a Aug 30 promise date.
Estimated delivery :
Aug 25, 2010 by 4:30 PM Shipping from Memphis, TN to Athens, GA

I'm one happy camper! I just hope it's ships faster... 'cause that's more like a 3 day wait! (yeah, i understand that it doesn't actually ship today and that I'll actually be Monday)

I also ordered on August 12th but haven't received any shipping information as of yet.

I don't mind though, still waiting on an Otterbox to protect it! :)

No, that's one day before the original SHIP by date. They don't promise a 'deliver by' date - they promise a 'ship by' date. So really, you'll have it about 3 days before you would have if they had shipped when promised.

This post is the shit that is driving us all nuts. I ordered the 10th and I don't even have a shipping notification yet. How the hell does this person who ordered days after me get their phone before me. That right there is BS. IF this was not happening no one would be complaining.

YAYYYYYYYYYY!!! i just got my shipment email

i ordered on the 12th. have yet to check the tracking to see where it's coming from and when it's suppose to be here. i was suppose to have free overnight shipping so will be interesting to see if they actually stuck to that.
i will report back.

and the funny thing is - they FINALLY responded to my email about an hour ago that i sent them on friday night and they told me that it had not shipped yet and wouldn't ship until the 30th :)

Yes, a CSR lady I spoke with earlier this week politely offered to call me on her next shift (which was today) to provide me any other updates to my DroidX order. Well, she called today, and was not able to provide me with anything. Not a processing, shipping, tracking, NOTHING. She just said it said it was still backordered, and apologized. So, I plan on checking every other day.
