i5700 + Multitouch TUTORIAL (FROM THE SCRATCH including all files!)

Follow the above (noting the amendments in first post).

Very easy guide (make sure you have phone drivers setup correctly on your PC first).

The last part where you apply a kitchen custom file can be changed to your own specifications if you register with Samdroid and cook your own update here: SamdroidMod Kitchen v.2 'All in One' for Samsung Spica i5700 [EN]

I cooked my own update and added live wallpapers - but can't say I would recommend them - unnecessary battery and resource drain - reminds me of Microsofts "Active Desktop" c**p!

Multitouch in gallery, maps and browser is great, some have noted that multitouch reduces battery life somewhat - can't say I've noticed a massive determent.

Enjoy

bigs thanks goes to lehshak and Gabriel-LG and all at Samdroid :D

tried it, thought the multitouch was crap, way way too sensetive and prone to doing weird things like moving about an image when not even touching the screen - not a patch on the iphone version. uninstalled =/

hmmm strange - I've had a ipod touch for 2 years and I can't say this multitouch is better but it's not far off. Only difference I can think is if you used the kitchen file in the linked download it may have an older version of multitouch as I cooked my own update last week?

I get no weirdness - pinches in and out fine.

Hi. i cooked my own file with the [LK2.09.4 (Multitouch from Gabriel-LG v2b + antibyte camera bugfix2 + Superuser 2.3.5)] kernel. do you, or anyone think i maybe need to try a diff firmware with it? I'm currently on JD1. kernel version 2.6.29 leshak@i5700-dev7 #123. build number LK2.08.1

never had much luck with cooking anything from kitchen, all kinds of weirdness goes on if i try it, generally super slow phone and stuff opening on it's own and lots and lots of force closing

I started from scratch and used the firmware for first Odin run and then the PDA file on the second (both in the download package in the samdroid post).

I then cooked my own kitchen file with:
SamdroidMod Version 1.3.1.deodexed [XXJH1] (Android 2.1)
Kernel 2.09.1 (which is not in Kitchen now but 2.09.2 is closet match)

and notable additions of:
Launcher Pro, standard phone and DVM ARM11 optimized

Cheers
