I wonder why they didnt used some unbreakable (hard to break at least) material, now i have to be extra careful when i wonder around drunk!
Tell us how much did or will cost u please, and what operations was needed for replacement.

companies got to make money, phones are not permanent products, they have little value, unless you're using a vertu..

the thing is (at least as i know from my knowledge of watches) that you can either have hard to break or hard to scratch material, combining the two is difficult task.

the plastic like material is actually more difficult to break (but easier to scratch) because it's not stiff, it vibrates spreading and dispensing the energy. on the other side, the mineral crystal (or even sapphire, is there a producer using it in phones?) is hard to scratch material (well, relatively, the best is sapphire..but quite expensive) but it breaks, shatters more easier than plastic.
if you ask me...the solution would be: cheap replacements (so if it breaks, scratches, you just replace it...but than again phones get OLD in two years)
