Hey guys,

I just called Rogers Tech Support since my x10 no longer charges () but I heard an automated message and it said the x10 2.1 update is now out for Rogers users. Can anyone confirm that this is true? I would do it myself, but sadly I'm x10-less for the next week or so...

Did you do it through SEUS or did you do it OTA?

On XDA-Dev's forum some people downloaded it, some could not. One called a Rogers representative who said Sony Ericsson (the update goes through their servers)'s servers are not reliable because too many people are downloading.

Just try later tonight.

i tried using the seus and also through the phone, both told me i was up to date. ill just try later. im sure itll be a day or so

Trying to access update from Vancouver - OTA and PC Companion both claim I'm up to date. Haven't tried calling to yell at Rogers yet - is "it's a SE server issue" the party line everyone is getting?

currently waiting in linme to get the support tech line from rogers
and guess what? 20 min on hold, and not even a mention toward the x10 or android
edit: 30 min waiting... just hanged up

My PC Companion is downloading something when I clicked update...6:38am EST Crossing my fingers!

I'm pretty certain now it's the update to 2.1. I am receiving this through PC Companion, not SEUS.

Yup, it is the update!! Again: On Rogers, PC Companion, clicked on "START" in the SUPPORT ZONE Column, then clicked "START" on the left column - SOFTWARE UPDATE.
Phone has booted up, showing a logo of a camera with an arrow pointing down to a graphic of the X10. I assume it means it's flashing. Just rebooted again, staring at the words, Sony Ericsson. Funky purple Sony logo animated graphic, now Rogers Logo...all done in about 10 min up to this point. Gonna head to work now for OverTime Shift. Let the phone finishing loading on the way to work and then sneak in a few minutes of play time here and there at work! YAYAYA!

oh thats right, new software is available for my phone and its installing. lets hope im not late for work. haha. who am i kidding its my business ill show up when 2.1 is done

well the update is on the phone. i just restarted it and its got a picture of a camera pointing an arrow at the phone. im guessing its doing something and doesnt actually want me to take a picture of its screenm, lol.

oh wait here we go, starting it. the little wave grafics are pretty cool looking. i hear its gonna be laggy as all hell and will need a few battery pulls to fix itself so lets see just how bad she is

2.1 is officially on the phone and working its actually not that laggy. maybe im used to how bad the old phones ran so i tolerate this. but the 2,1 layout is nice, the colors seem a little nicer on it too and the top bar witht he larger clock is much nicer. gonna have to play with it at work today

Got up @4 today here in BC and updated
Glad the ringtone library is extended but brightness at 100% is definitely not as bright. Maybe an app can get around that

Hi uchi - great that you got the update. I'm on Rogers as well and so far no update for me. Do you happen to know what the product # of your phone is. SE has a list of update kits released by product # and it would be interesting to see if your's is listed. Mine is not.

Ontario Rogers here...just got it through PC Companion. It first showed that I was up to date but then after a few extra seconds it detected the update...then SEUS popped up...went through the standard deal and now i'm restarting

It's available here in BC as well ... updated via SEUS about 20 minutes ago.

Its running great. Did a few battery pulls and she's running at full speed. Very fast and inquire happy with this update
