Tips for a new EVO user...

Me too I got my on launch day one for me and one for a friend and we still all the time talk about how awesome of a phone it is and how it does so much. The EVO is the best phone out there and you will love it. Once we got froyo 2.2 it got even better. I wont be upgrading for a long time. Get Word Feud and Angry Birds two fun games.

I got mine on launch day (early june) and I'm still playing with it constantly and finding new things!

Question---I'm a new Evo user and a former iPhone user (which is my point of reference for how a system operates). When I got my iPhone all I had to do was plug it in to my computer and it automatically downloaded the iStore software and I could immediately do things like choose songs, manage my song lists, download apps, manage them, etc. Is there something similar for the Evo? Where do I start? Where's the "ok, so now you're a new Evo user" guide?

I do't know anything about I phone and the EVO was new to me but once you have a gmail account and sign into your phone with it you can then go to the marketplace and download apps. Songs on your computer you can put on your sd card with the phone hooked up to your computer. Hope that helps some,

Welcome to our cult. Buy some extra batteries and chargers...you will need em. I bought batteries + charger from ebay for my TP2 which works on Evo. They have Evo specific ones too but I don't think they are any different. Have had my batteries and charger for about a year now..no problems yet. Have fun and enjoy your new found love. And remember.."Evos b4 Hoes" is our male motto here! But if you're female...hmm..I can't think of one right now...haha.

Try different thihgs all the time, Browse the Market try apps, unistall them if you dont like, or dont use. Buy a huge sd card, Read these forums,
