well, first and formost... youre in the eris forum,so you prolly wont get the best advice for your glacier here
but a couple of things that i assume to be true across the board:
-the triangle and exlcamation point youre seing is the factory recovery wich you are not allowed to acess.
-the most common reasons that hboot will not find a xxxxIMG file are:
1)your sd card is nto formatted FAT32
2) it is not named EXACTLY right. a very common error is adding the ".zip" when renaming the file on a windows machine. windows will automatically add the .zip,so if you typed it in the file the phone is seing is "PD15IMG.zip.zip" causing it to not be recognizable as an hboot IMG flashable file. also double check what your IMG file should be named and make sure youve got it right. all phones are different... for the eris, ours is PB00IMG.
3)you put the file inside folder, not on the root of the SD.
at any rate relax, youre not totally bricked as youre still able to access hboot(and would be recovery if you had one) so all you need to do is get a functional rom back on the phone.
just be careful what you do here,as fastboot/hboot is your last attempt at getting it working.
since you are s-on,you cant flash just anything in hboot. you may be able to flash some sort of factory RUU that will get you back to an unrooted, working phone. again,be carefull as some ruus may have some consequences that go along with them(like not being rootable by some methods).
your best bet,IMO,would be to get adb up and running, and find some instructions somewhere to use it to flash a custom recovery image in fastboot. that way,you can simply boot to recovery from hboot and either restore a backup,or flash a new rom.
your phone was rooted before you got yourself in this pickle, correct?
if it was not,its possible you could take it to a store and let them try and puch firmware to it. if it ends up bricked from there, they hopefully accept responsibility and replace it for you.
last and not least, you may need an sd card adapter to plug your phones sd card into your pc so you can check how it is formatted, and possibly rename or move you xxxxIMG file.
good luck!
