Thunderbolt: Battery & Bing ??

I owned a fascinate for awhile and I can tell you the Incredble has better battery life then that and I honestly think this will have better battery life then the Incredible with a slightly larger battery and more efficient cpu. I don't think it will be an issue. Now 4g I'm hoping isn't similar to Sprints 4g that is a battery hog , but honestly keep 4g off and only use it when necessary . it will be all good
You must have had an app killing your battery or something I owned the fascinate and the incredible and every night when i went to bed I still had about 40% battery left on my fascinate with pretty moderate use. The incredible on the other hand I would have to charge atleast twice a day. Not to mention the fact that 4g will almost certainly drain battery much faster than 3g I mean look at the EVO.

As well as figured out on how to keep up with production and demand of their phones that have an Amoled/Super Amoled screen. I have to believe they went with a different manufacturer this time around, especially after the incredible screen shortage fiasco!

Im sure the Incredible 2 will probably use super lcd as they dont want to have another fiasco with screens and samsung not supplying enough screens since they were keeping them for their own phones

Nope to test this theory I did a full wipe on the fascinate (both of the fasinates I had ) and the phone still wouldn't make it thru the day . I never got better then 9 hrs out of either Fascinate and I had them a combined 3 months . I can get upwards of 30hrs out of a stock incredible battery and if I'm really using it streaming slacker, GPS, games etc. I can get a continuous 8hrs of use on a single battery.

I tried everything to like the fasinate rooted tried diffrent kernals etc never could get the phone to operate even on par with my rooted Eris . Biggest disapointment in a phone I've ever expierenced. Maybe I just got two bad ones but that phone was complete garbage

I really haven't had a lot of time to spend with any SLCD screens, only with a revamped Incredible and it was for only about a week. I'd say battery life was maybe a tiny bit better then with the original Amoled....not by much though.

IMO, HTC should have went a little further like Moto did with the Atrix and Bionic....newer screen technology, and bigger batteries...Well, we will just have to wait and see how the Thunderbolt holds up.

I think HTC wanted to be first with a LTE phone which will cause big sales numbers by itself. So they took their best phone, EVO, and made as little changes as they could to it. I know the newer snapdrgon in the Thunderbolt is supposed to be better on battery life, but with the SLCD sucking up more power, I just dont see good battery life from the Thunderbolt.

I agree....First is good for a device. But not always better! I'm not a fan of LCD or SLCD, spoiled by Super Amoled on my Fascinate.

Thats the one thing I loved about my Fascinate the screen was a thing of beauty . I was really hoping this would come with something similar. But I've heard of good things about the screen from most of the reviews .

I Absolutly LOVE my Fascinates Screen, It's most likely The Best looking screen that I've ever used so far...But who knows what 2011 will bring with all these new Technologies poping up.
We all wont know for sure how the Thunderbolts screen looks until we get our hands on it and use it in real world conditions. However like you, I've heard it's really nice, and is much nicer then the EVO's LCD screen. To me, a nice screen is a Huge selling point. And it's like night and day when looking at the EVO's LCD compaired to that of an Amoled or Super Amoled. But I'm beginning to get hyped about the Thunder to be Honest. I will 100% throw it on the Amex and give it a whirl for a few weeks, I'm a Tech Junkie, how can I not snatch up VZW's first LTE Super Phone! Should be Fun...

Yeah I'm sure this screen will be atleast on par with the Incredile which I think is pretty damn good, plus it will be nice to lose the blue tint on white that is a trait of Amoled . But Im pretty sure the Fascinate screen is still better then this one. The only screen I've seen better then the Fascinate and not by much is the Iphone4 but 3.5in is wayyyy tooo small (that's what she said )

the incredible is the best phone i have used to date, i love it. that being said, it has the WORST battery life of any phone i have ever used! period. Chitown is literally one of the only people i have seen stating differently. i dont know what could possibly be the big difference between his and others, including mine.
