Do you see any signs of universal data controls as vaguely described at [I/O 2014] Privacy Controls Are Coming In Android "L" As 'Universal Data Controls,' Though Details Are Scarce in this release?

Could be one of these new settings in security (apps with usage access), or the hard data capDo you see any signs of universal data controls as vaguely described at [I/O 2014] Privacy Controls Are Coming In Android "L" As 'Universal Data Controls,' Though Details Are Scarce in this release?
It if I were to install the developer version of 5.0 Lollipop, will I still receive the 5.0 Lollipop OTA update when it is rolled out?
No, you'll need to flash the OTA

You are correct. I meant flash the factory image for the OTA - I need to use my words betterActually, I'm not sure that will work either. The OTA usually "updates" the latest release build, which would be 4.4.4 for the Nexus 5.
If you update to the preview version, you are no longer on 4.4.4 and the OTA, even if flashed, would most likely fail.
Absolutely! It didn't have anything populated when I clicked it so I'll have to play aroundI know you just flashed this, so if you get a chance to play around with this, could you please share some more details? I'm out of town for this weekend, and can't install the preview
Interesting point- the dev preview is not encrypted by default.
Maybe because its a preview, but could mean devices shipping with it will be on by default, but those getting the OTA will not.
Vomer is still working on his flashable zip and Multirom of LPX13D L Preview... Although it looks like dekefake has already got a flashable recovery version and Mutirom version all ready to go - Android Lollipop Stock Factory Image and mor… | Google Nexus 5 | XDA Forums
Yes, but root still won't work for certain apps until they are modified to work with Lollipop. ES File Explorer still doesn't work.Root should be available with the modified boot.img and the newest version of SuperSU v2.14, thanks to ChainFire!!
Did you try clockwork mod superuser? Supposedly that worked well with rooted apps in the old l preview and it may work with lollipop.Yes, but root still won't work for certain apps until they are modified to work with Lollipop. ES File Explorer still doesn't work.
