Root Liberty or Apex?

I am brand new to flashing ROMs, so I was wondering what is the better ROM to use?
since you are new to this i would recommend installing apex 1.3.1 .It is very user friendly and has just enough blur in it for functionality.I do like liberty and think it is also semi noob user friendly but i just think apex would be your better choice .I have used both and personally prefer Apex.

I was on Apex for a good while and I am now running Liberty 1.5. It is smoother than Apex was for me and seems just as stable so far with a few more cool things built in (Themes, icons, etc.) There are a few known bugs already with Liberty (wallpaper probs, etc). Battery life seemed a bit better in Apex- but it is early for me to say for sure.

For a first time Rom replacement I would probably go with ApeX. Good luck.

I say both, just pick one, nandroid first of your stock build (if that's where you're at) and then flash 1, nandroid that and use it a while, get a feel then flash the other and compare. I love them both as well as DarkSlide. All great Roms, I need to try the others one day.

I am extremely newbish to the world of romming, installed Liberty yesterday and am blown away by it. My battery is on par as stock, unplugged this morning at 7:30 used some through out the day and still have 70% left. The themes are amazing, and anything blur you want can be reinstalled are just a few clicks away thanks to the ingenious Liberty tool box.

go with ApeX. it's a good rom to start with for people new to roms

I feel it's a good rom, all around, for oldbies and newbies. I'm an oldbie who continually comes back to ApeX, so yeah, I don't think it's a newbie rom, specifically. Why folks say that is because it's super stable, with great battery life and everything works, like hdmi, etc.

I sure never thought I'd be adding my two cents as I've asked probably more questions on roms, etc., probably than anyone. When I finally got the balXX, er, courage to do a ROM, I did ApeX and really liked it. I've since gone to Liberty 1.5, and seem to like it better, but can't say why. Truth be told, I now really like is being able to change. Whatever took me so long? Thanks to all for the help!

A friend has asked me to root is DroidX for him so I'm trying to find which ROM would be best, whether it be one of the two already mentioned or a different one.

I'm basically looking for which ROM is the best combination of fast and stable (stable is more important.) I'd also like it to have the MotoBlur apps installable along with the vanilla Android apps. Also are any/all the roms for Droid X Gingerbread?

I'm basically looking for something similar to Cyanogenmod 7, but with the Blur apps.

Thanks in advance for your help.
