The dock is LP, just changed the Icons, the Weather and Clock widget is. MIUI Digital Clock

I was holding out for a Gingerbread ROM that wouldn't need much babysitting to run smoothly, and while this isn't quite everything I had hoped for, I am happy with it.
Very fast, very stable!

Only issues:

- Pull Down Notification bar has gray areas for items on black background, ugly, blarg...

-Video camera records poorly, cutting/choppy, as others noted

-I get terrible terrible home screen redraw times with my launcher of choice, ADW.

I seem to be reducing that last one with some tinkering - a combination of a few days of run time, Swapper 2, and Persistent Home are helping.

did you have to save the icons as pics then set them as that?

hard press on the icon > change shortcut > choose app > default icon

Yes, if you search on here there should be some links to Icon packs, Cant remember exactly where i got them.

After using the rom for a few days are you guys still having any issues with camcorder?

Only bug I have found personally is news and weather widget not knowing location

i have had one issue but other than that it is working great. Sometimes at random times the phone will all of a sudden go to the red eye loading screen and then act like it is restarting. But it isnt restarting, whenever it does this you never see the motorola logo and when i go into the settings and go to upp time it dosent act like the phone restarted. Does that make any sense?

I have not had any issues with the camcorder, but don't use it much. i can say it does not work with Qik, but that is not surprising. Great Rom, cant say enough about the battery life.

Been driving this for only a few hours now and it's running very smooth. All apps restored as expected and didn't have any problems with TiBU.

Am also having a choppy playback of videos, including those recorded prior to GB.

Beautiful widgets weather will not geolocate which may be a similar problem to the google news & weather widget problem.

Getting a few FC's on a couple apps but from reading other posts in this thread I'll give the ROM a few days to settle in.

My habit after installing a new ROM is to "fix permissions" usually through ROM manager. Does anyone know of any potential problems doing this using a GB ROM?

Probably will just do this anyway and report back.

Absolutely fantastic work Dew and thanks for the hard work.

*Edit: Also, just lost data (3G) connection after phone call. Restored by switching on/off airplane mode.

*Edit #2: In case anyone is wondering. I clean installed with full, and multiple wipes of everything (except SD).

Still experienceing the choppy video in high settings.

Also, my call log is a bit off. It shows a call I made Monday as from yesterday in the summary - if I click on the details it then shows that the call was Monday. Honestly cannot recall if that's something new but it stands out now.

Otherwise phone largely stable w/good battery life.

Dew, I'm starting to notice some weird battery issues. For starters, most all GB ROMs have given me poor battery life. However, last night while on Twitter on my phone I saw the battery jump from almost 50% immediately down to about 20% (orange). Then, this morning it was nearly dead. I plugged her in and it jumped from 10% to 80% in about 10min. I'll give it a reboot and hopefully it'll fix any issues. Otherwise, the ROM is running great, nice and fast.
Also, are there any GB ROMs out there that have the battery % figure inside the icon yet?

Liquid GB, UD 3.0 (I think it CAN show percentage), BB 6 (granted, not a full GB ROM). Those are the ones I tried that show it.

One issue I've had is 3G not always working. I've not noticed if it's after a call, etc. The icon is there, but any web-based app says i have no connection. I have to manually toggle 3G to get it back. Had to reboot once to get it to work too. (This is in an area where I know I have it, and it works on other roms as well.) I'll keep an eye on it and see what it does after 48 hours.

Yeah, dew.
Still having the camcorder tearing issues and occasional non-reconnect-to-3g problem.

And yeah, anything requiring a zip-code won't automatically pull it.(Tried using hire-a-droid and had to manually enter it). I get an error that says "Get location failed! 2131230720Service not Available". I don't know if that's a program-specific error or not.

Otherwise a-ok.

Here is what seems to fix my home screen redraw issues. Credit to whom ever thought of it.

Open up any terminal emulator on your phone and type each line and hit enter.

I've had Beta 2 since the day dew released it. I reinstalled wiping everything like dew suggested. Its been several days and the video footage is still really jumpy.

2) Cannot get zip code from My Location
3) Does not reconnect data connection after phone calls
4) Power control widget does not display correctly

Also, is there any way that we could get the circular battery meter? I find it much easier to visualize how much juice is left compared to the standard battery meter.

Can the latest Market be built in?

Battery indicator has been weird today: played angry birds for about an hour, battery sad it was at 40%. Rebooted phone, and it was back up to 60%??? (I did a battery stat wipe earlier today in Clockwork Recovery, before recharging and then using all afternoon.)

SetCPU is also jumping to 1000MHz when all settings are maxed at only 800MHz. Not sure how that's possible. Did a reboot and it's still showing 1000MHz on every action, but current settings are low: 250, high: 800, Interactive. Even my charging profile is maxed at 800MHz. Any thoughts?

I'm planning on uploading a new version in the next day or two fixing video issues, new market, a few other misc. fixes and added features

I'm also having a problem where my contacts are not combining correctly. With other ROMs if I have a Facebook and a Google contact with the same name they will combine into one contact in my contact list. It is not doing this in the current beta 2.

I didn't have Facebook installed but just did and it synced with my contacts fine - no dups.

FWIW - I wiped everything prior to installing Beta2.
