I played with the Htc Inspire and Motorola Atrix for about 45 minutes.
First thing on the Atrix, the home button wasnt returning home. I dont think thats a good sign already. I tried veetle.com(thats a nice test lol) it loaded some channels but looked choppy. I tried the Youtube app and played some HQ videos and it did play those well. It was definitely motoblur and wasnt as smooth as I thought it would be with it boasting the dual core chip. The screen was nice, not droid x like at all. Now all this before I realized the atrix was on wifi, I had to change it to at&t network settings to see how it really performed. Once I had H+ veetle streams would not even load, youtube still played ok. I tried the speedtest app and was getting 1.5mbps down/.56 up(crap) and I made sure it was on H+.
I think the best thing I liked about this phone was the ffc.
Now on to the Inspire. I loved the bigger screen, but for some reason it looked a little dimmer than the atrix and I had the inspire on highest brigntness. Veetle streams played smoothly enough, and so did youtube. I ran the speedtest app and got about the same results, I'm sure theres a tweak for this. Htc sense was definitely smoother and this is single core? I'm definitely leaning towards the inspire, that 4.3 screen and the $100 savings is hitting some sort of sweet spot. I really enjoy the bigger screen, I can do without a ffc. I'm looking forward to HTC dual core 4.5 or even 5 inch screens, they just need to get the battery issues fixed to power these babies long enough. I hope I dont run into battery issues if I do get the inspire.
Quick question, has anyone noticed the screen dimmer on the Inspire when comparing it to the atrix. Maybe it was just the youtube clip I was watching, watched the same clip on both devices.
