Why did we pay tax? i've never paid tax on an amazon product.

Motorola doesn't have stores in my state. So WHY?

Wait until it is delivered, and then contact Amazon customer service for a credit for the tax. Maybe that will work. I missed out on the deal, so you are very lucky, indeed!

Tax is going to be based on if Motorola charges tax in your state not based on Amazon.

Im pretty sure if there is even a Motorola office in your state, your going to have to pay tax.

That's the way I seen it for everyone ! I think amazon charges me tax in NYS anyway it didn't matter either way, But I ordered from amazon the Skinomi TechSkin screen protector for my xoom and wasn't charged tax :thinking:

This is confusing to me sure it was a third party but don't they still charge it :thinking:

No such thing as "sales tax free" if you live in a state with sales tax. Buying online just deferrs the responsible tax collector from the retailer to YOU.

Everybody pays thier use tax, right????

When I go to amazon which takes me to amazonwireless it is 825 with no contract.

And the biggest bummer is that it does not honor the $200 worth of Amazon gift credits I have racked up when I am in the "wireless section".

Also I guess since it is not an accessory I do not get my corporate 25% discount.

You missed the deal those lucky jerks got.

There was a 25% off coupon that wasn't supposed to be applicable to the Xoom itself, but, these lucky guys and gals were able to apply it and get a free case in the process. With free 2nd day shipping.

I was not one of those people. I got mine at a VZW store a few minutes after they opened on Thursday. So, I've had mine since last week while all the 25%'ers are waiting for theirs.

ok thanks everyone. I was really hoping to be able to use my amazon points but looks like they do not apply to amizonwireless.

I just called amazonwireless and they said they do not take the amazon gift card points. or other store gift cards.
