Root Arghh! I want the stock alarmclock!

So this is a minor problem I have, but still annoying. I just went from Liberty to ApeX in hopes that the alarm was the same as nandroid... Its not. I think the alarm that is included in all of these is the gingerbread alarm, but I liked my froyo one (because of the fade in feature) This isn't the only reason I am trying ApeX out, but I do still really want that alarm back... Is the fade in feature hidden somewhere? Can anyone suggest a good alarm clock app? I tried a couple out and did not like them.

Off topic, but I also noticed that I am getting traces of different ROM's on my phone. I did a data/factory reset and cleared the cache in bootstrap both when I went from Liberty to Nandroid, then Nandroid to ApeX. When Apex Loaded, I still had the Liberty boot logo, and the bg was a liberty one. Does bootstrap automatically auto recover things?

The liberty logo is all over the root thread, basically what I did was reflash to Liberty and go into the toolbox and set the boot animation to Stock Motorola M, then flashed back to ApeX. I know there is an easier way to do this but dont have the link atm...

EDIT: FOUND IT

As far as the alarm, have you tried updating the toolbox? go into Terminal Emulator... type su <enter> type updatetb <enter> and try installing it then, if that doesn't work you may need to try another fresh install of ApeX, but I know its on there.

You sound like my wife.... hitting the snooze 20 times, sometimes accidentally turning it off instead of snooze. :D

OTOH, more times than not, I turn it off minutes before it goes off and just get up (very light sleeper).

I only use my X's alarm when traveling or getting up at an earlier hour, like 3:30 a.m. for server maint. I like the gradual increased sound/vibrate.

Blur alarm through toolbox works

Yes... It does.

Sorry, I tried this with the Liberty toolbox when I was on that and it wasn't working for me. The apex toolbox works fine, especially since its not just,"do you want to download the old app to your phone?", it's, "Do you want to use the old app instead?"

Thanks for all the other input.

I love ApeX. Liberty was cool, but I think apex is my ROM of choice. (and not just because of the stupid alarm)
